With that change working well, I thought it was time to introduce another one. Instead of putting the fork down after 8, I need to pick it up at noon. I'm terrible for skipping lunch. Some days it's because I'm stressed or caught up in work. But mostly it's because I just don't feel like eating at lunch. Most lunch foods (salad, sandwiches) don't appeal to me. So I ignore whatever healthy meal I packed and instead end up grazing on anything I can - mainly chocolate. Even though I'm theoretically saving calories by not eating lunch, I'm sure I more than make up for it with extra-curricular eating.
So my new goal is to eat lunch every day. I'm going to have to experiment to find foods that I find appealing. And I'm going to have to try some pep talks to get myself to physically walk to the fridge and get my lunch. But I really do think this will help me feel better overall. So we'll see how I do! Up tomorrow- I'm trying out pizza pops. Maybe not the most nutrient dense choice, but relatively low in calories and something that I think I might be able to stomach. Stay tuned!
