But tonight was perfect walkie weather! There was a bit of snow on the ground for traction. It was mild with no wind. So I bundled up, snapped on his adorable bow-tie collar and away we went.
Our usual summer route is through the school yard near our house but of course that would have been knee-deep in snow. So we had to settle for sidewalks and alleys. But no complaints from Wicket. My little boo boo bear was just happy to be out and about. I let him pause and sniff as much as he wanted. He also made sure to mark his territory along the way.
We got home and he flopped on the floor in Dennis' computer room for a cat nap. He seems a bit calmer tonight. Usually he would be standing by my desk, gruffing at me and being generally obnoxious. (See picture for evidence.) But he's quite content to just hang out.
Yet another thing I'm looking forward to in summer - return to regular walkies. Wicket and I usually have an after-work walk, unless it's raining out. I love having some extra time with him, not to mention the bonus exercise.
