This e-card made me laugh and perhaps gently cry at the same time. It's been very challenging to get time away from the office lately. I had two weeks of holiday in March and probably had only about 2 days where I didn't end up doing some work. We've coined them "fake-ations" because they're vacation days but you're really working.
Today I had a hair appointment in the afternoon. I had planned to take the whole day off but ended up having to go into work in the morning for a webinar. But I was able to leave by around noon. Sometimes you need an appointment to force yourself out the door! And timing-wise the appointment worked out great. With my surgery booked in the next couple weeks, it's good I was able to fit in a trim.
After my hair cut I met Tracy for a visit. She works downtown, which is where my salon is. We wandered over to the Tim Horton's for a quick coffee and chat. And a present! She's been very nice about giving me little presents each time I see her. It helps cheer me up - not so much the things (although hey, they're nice) but the thought behind it.
From there it was home for a nap. Cancer really kicks the stuffing out of you. I have never felt this level of fatigue before in my life. I'm not sure if it's the stress or the cancer cells leaching nutrients from my body but wow - I feel weary to my very bones.
